How to find ecu number

hi guys,

i just bought an 2000 model 4.0 liter sohc ford explorer engine. and i will use this engine in a different car for offroad.

HOWEVER İ DONT HAVE AN ECU.

can you please help me to find ECU number for this engine ??
my engine code is;
0g 960 aa
9200004033

You will need more than an ecu since the pats came along in '98. try an ecu from a '97 or earlier.

Under the hood in the firewall is where the ecu is, just follow the bundle of wires. You can unbolt the bracket and pull it out to find the ecu number.
