How to fix these two parts....

I need some help ya'll,

and i would love to remove this ugly thing from my rear bumper.

if anyone can provide any help to doing either of these i'd be very greatful.

I don't know how to fix that without a hammer.
On the bumper though, that plate is probably most of the strength for the bumper. I would get a new bumper or just paint the ugly part.

i know the plate can be removed i remember seeing a member here that has done it......but can't remember who is was..

Is Dr. Sawzall in the house?? I think he could remove that ugly part of the bumper

the ugly part of the bumper was held in by bolts on my 94 ex. might be the same on yours. If im not mistaken the bumper mounting brackets had bolts the went through the ugly part to though.

depends on wether they are all rusty and stuck I had to torch mine off but i was taking the piece off anyway to sandblast it
