How to get the Keyway off on 93 Explorior to remove front rotors.

Looks like a keyway once i took the clip off and the two other pieces,then when i tyr to remove that threaded piece there is a keyway there.its in to far to back it out,has anyone replaced there front roters on the 93 and know what i am talking about,i need info on this,this is right before you get to the bearings. thanks for any help.

you betcha, the best way ive figured out how to that little key out is with a magnet. I'm assuming you have auto hubs on there. you may have to wiggle the retaining nut(the big 2 3/8 nut) so it lines up perfect with the little slot it slides out in, but a magnet is what i used. It's can be a real P.I.T.A but you do it.
 






A magnet is your best friend when working on the auto hub locknuts.
 






i bent up a paperclip and made it slide the key out along with using a mini pocket screwdriver as well
 






Having to deal with those daily I use a small pick. Like a dental pick. quicker than anything. Remember to repack those wheel bearings and propper torque when reassembling.
