1996 explorer of course the low beam is on but when you put the highs on the lows turn off. I notice though when i pull back to just flick the high beam for a split second the low beam stays on. I really want the low and high to stay on when i hit the high beams. There are 3 wires going to the bulbs. Anyone mess with this to get it to work that way?

It will overheat the wiring and melt...

one could make their own harness perhaps?
pull all of the wires for the factory headlights and wire in their own that can handle running highs and lows at the same time.

that would be a lot of work

ouch never mind...i just really love the the way it lights the road up...i just installed the cheap o crystal headlight and corners with the reflectors inside and it made a huge difference over the fluted ones...it has a cut off line like projectors

I suggest adding a pair of driving lights to the front of your rig. easy and uber bright. I wired mine to come on only with my high beams, so essentially its similar to what you have in mind.
