2000 XLS 5 speed. I'm going to replace the clutch/bearing and right now am removing the transfer case. I have the driveshafts off, the electrical connector is removed, removed the 5 bolts. It's stuck on there good. Any tips on how to get it off?

Oh and I don't mean to be rude but if someone can comment quickly I would appreciate it greatly as I'm working on it right now.

Just slide it to the rear a few inches to get off the spline shaft. If the seal is tight just pry it till the seal breaks. Your going to have to turn it as it comes down, the speed sensor will hang up on the gas tank a bit. Just move it around a bit till it clears and you can drop it.
Make sure all the bolts are off. the one on the very top is a pita to get to.

I only can feel 5 bolts and that is what the service manual says. I felt around it pretty well. It's separated a tiny bit but it is very stubborn.

Got it. It was hung up on a rusted alignment dowel. I don't see how you guys who own shops make money at this. It is never easy.
