How to tell whether you have the factory theft system on a 2000 Sport

I did not get any documentation on which options came with my 2000 Explorer Sport. There is a “Theft” light that flashes on the dash whenever the ignition is off. Does this mean I have a factory installed theft system or just a flashing light?

Look at your key.

All Explorer's after 98 have PATS
That is the system that will not allow the truck to run without the key you have.
