'92 Ranger sprcab 4"lift
I'm new here...
I have a 92 Ford Ranger 4X4 with the 4.0. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement auto locking hub for under $165? Winter is coming and I'll need 4 wheel drive soon. It would also be nice to have when cruising the back country and not having to stay on the 2WD trails. This weekend I'll be installing the 4" Rough Country suspension lift I just bought and then 31 X 10.50 tires. It already has the limited slip rear. Anyone familiar with this lift? Is it a pretty straight forward install?
Thanks for your help! :D

I know there is a guy on this site that rebuilds and sells them. Do a search.

Personally I would just install manual hubs, both manual hubs cost as much as one auto hub and they are 10 times stronger.

Not sure about your lift, mine is superlift.

Okay, thanks for the info. :) I am considering manual hubs, but the auto's would be easier since I drive on snow covered roads where one minute I'm on ice and snow and the next on dry pavement.

As long as you dont go to fast you can keep the manuals engaged.

Also you could start a "wanted" thread for you auto hub.

Okay, you got me seriously thinking about doing a manual hub conversion. More reliable, and a lot stronger. Unless I can get a replacement auto hub cheap for now and then upgrade later on. I've already spent all my money on the lift and tire/wheel package.
