Got a some oil coolers I removed from a coupla Super Coupes, think it's worth the trouble to install one? I'm still kinda new at this 4.0 game, live on the upper Texas coast, and it gets a little warm during the summer around here but just debating on using this style of cooler (and if it's REALLY needed or not).
They normally mount between the oil filter and pump on the 3.8 engines and simply use heater hose to route inline with the cooling system. Lookin' at my 4.0, it seems I could just put it between the filter and the block and route some heater hose and shazam...got an oil cooler.

thoughts? opinions? guesses?

:)

By the way, mine is a '94 5spd Sport

Down here, we don't get that weird white fluffy stuff on the ground during the winter so ain't too much chance of gettin' the oil too cold. Coolant temp would still run anywhere from 165-197 depending on the thermostat that's in the engine, might change it (the thermostat) soon as a little preventive maintenance.
