A life time of to & from O' Reilly's :D

I went to them Monday to get plugs for the wife's 'Zuki. They didn't have the NGK V-Power that is the factory plug. They could order them. No I don't want to order plugs. I want to do this today.

They sell me another NGK which is supposed to work. I get home take on of the old plugs out. All is fine except that the ones they gave me have a 13/16 head not a 5/8. A 13/16 plug socket won't fit in the hole of the valve cover.

I grab the Haynes manual I have and it says the plug they gave me was for 1990 and older. Someone loaded the wrong info in their system.

I ended up putting Autolite's in.

Time to check transfercase and front diffy, you likely have a bad bearing somewhere.

Nope-
transfer case was swapped, and the front diffy is fine. Also-the trans mount, motor mounts are fine.

The cv grenaded.

the one 3 weeks ago had a very torn up boot, and gravel in the cv joint. You could tell they used the old boot for the rebuild.

dang after the fiasco with the BII stock driveshaft (rear was CV style at t case and rear end, they blew up all the time) I cannot believe went to the CV front yoke in 98, what a dumb idea.. my 96 AWD t case and D shaft worked flawless, if it goes bad, $10 u joint

time for a 4406 :)

I think he is-in fact I may swap back-

In the meantime-
We
attachment.php
have this here adapter and I wish I knew what to do with it.

fancy schmancy!
You could sell those on here for sure! Powedercoat them "smith red"!! Nice idea

Well, I think it was Gavin who recommended greasing the cv joint before install. I cannot find the thread now-however I will admit Bryan was just bolting them in out of the box.

I checked the new u joint end-and it felt a bit dry, sure enough 4 pumps on the grease gun and a bit came out the seals-

So we inserted a needle into the small hole on the cv joint end. 24 squeezes before grease came out the hole---:eek:

Maybe this will help this one survive--huh?
