I need a quick opinion

It turns out I'm having a shop put in my exhaust and I was wondering should I just let them finish so it exits the muffler or make a tail pipe?

Definitely have a tailpipe made--
Turndowns allow fumes into the cabin. Seriously

Thanks for your answer sir. BUT I've just called a couple shops around here and they either say theres no room for us to intall a y pipe or it will cost about 300 to 400 dollars. So I'm just doing it myself. I can do it under 150 haha

I've never paid more than 245 for an exhuast.
I'm on my 4th in this truck righ now--

I had DUALS ran all the way out back, with a flowmaster for 175 bux---

oops edit that was the glasspack dual exhaust
flowmaster dual exhaust was 245.00

I am now on a custom muffler (off a chevy hd truck lol) dual in and single exhaust which ran 100 bux

IMO the shops you called are too lazy or don't know what they are talking about.

There is plenty of room for a Y pipe. Your muffler would have to be longer than the stock one for a Y pipe not to fit.
