the 01s can use the superlift 4" lift K494 iirc or the front lift from the 98-11 ranger rough country 5" lift for the rear with the RC you can go SOA or deaver 5" springs (available on gofastexplroers.com)... or go with OME36 rear leaves+shackles i suppose

of if youre 2wd, ithink ranger edge lift spindles would work too

Just be prepared to spend more $$$. The larger tires are gonna stress your already weak transmission (unless you are a 5
Speed) your gas mileage will drop to low, low teens, and you’ll eat up front end parts.

well if OP regears to what is best for their intended tire size, it could bring the gas mileage up slightly, but wont match the original mileage...

Sure. Unless you are swapping in a 4.10 from a junkyard you’re gonna spend 500+ on a regear.

will this work and i gotta put new motor and transmission i wanna build it because buy new vehicles are crazy

By the time you buy the front lift, new tires, rear driveshaft, new springs, you’re already going to be into the 1,000s.

the front lift should work, but the rear wouldnt as the explorers are SUA and the rangers are SOA... i suppose you could go SOA though in the rear to match the front

I’d find a better vehicle to build. Neither your SOHC or 5r55e are stout enough to be a “forever” vehicle. I’d start with a 2wd 5.0 if you want a reliable street truck.

say if OP wants to go to 33s...

4.10s from JY: 250 w/o brakes
this lift: 850 (rounding)
driveshaft: i think you could use the RC one so 450 (i think theres other options)
stock springs w/ SOA: 50
tires: 1000
total: soemwhere around 2600
ideally would be the deaver long travel 5" lift springs, but for the least price SOA is best

Okay thank u so much for your time and help

^^this... if you want to stick with the sport platform though and dont want to go to a 4dr 5.0, you could look into the 5.0 conversion

also if OP is doing an engine+tranny overhaul, this may be the opportunity for 2 more cylinders

Also need extended brake lines, and 4 new extended shocks. Sway bar extensions.
