I edited it.

Follow the first post. Then, if and when you swap the sensor you can make us a new video--

The removed video was one being turned by hand after removal. If yours is bad I would like to use the video in this first post, and one of you making it squeek by hand.

Your mission-de squeekify your explorer.

I would except for the following:

1) I think I'm coming down with the flu
2) It hasn't risen above 25F in 2 weeks
3) I am leaving for vacation next week so I don't have time to fiddle with it myself.

I'm going to bring it to my guy and have him swap it out with some other work I need done pre-road trip.
I'll tell him to give me back the old sensor and make a new video though.

The weird thing is once it warms up it seems to quiet down considerably.

Have your mechanic try this

Take the cap off the sensor-use a syringe to squirt some transmission fluid mixed with 3 in one oil down the shaft. This has proven to work well, and will save a lot of money.

Im starting to lean towards alternator.

sometimes when the truck is cold (ie sitting in the parking lot while im at work) and I got to crank it, it cranks and then for like half a second it loses power, then cranks, starts and runs like nothing ever happened.
