junk yard in calumet has good prices... but they dont know their a$$ from a hole in the wall so you have to be careful with what they bring out.

junk yard in lockport (southwest auto salvage) has fair prices, they seem to know alot more than the one in calumet, but they dont have as many parts to choose from.

bionic... or something like taht - place in Chicago on North Avenue where they offer delivery and even give you 30 day warranty... they might nit be the cheapest though...

Staffords in aurora/montgomery. I have gotten a lot of eng and trans from them, never a bad one in the bunch. (I was service manager at a used car lot). they also warranty, forgot how long. but you cant go wrong with them

Where about are you looking? Approx what city are you in (HA! I'm a dumbass!), I would hate to send you cross state for a tranny (I'll call around and look and let you know).

OH .. And count me in for getting together whenever another meet is decided, I may be "new" but I'm up for a meet and greet. If there's nothing planned by then I'll offer up my house for my annual memorial day party, a couple more people showing up wouldn't hurt, even if they are new faces!

Did you ever find a trans ? I can do a locate on one from a junkyard if you want from my dealer. I just put a trans in mine but I bought it new from Ford with my discount and got it for $2000. Lemme know if you still need to find one.

Hey guys hows it going? Id like to just say im dying to find some explorer enthusiest in my area... i live in oswego illinois. kinda by aurora. im on my 5th explorer that i just picked up a couple of saturdays ago and dotn ahve any mods for it YET buy another buddy of mine is looking for a club too. any ideas or if there is enough of us should we just start our own?
