im attempting to fix my cab rot by the bodymounts....

its on the front of the cab and i just put a ton of por-15 on it but the metals so thin....

Well, POR-15 isn't structural, not sure what you're asking...

...or is it more accurate to say "I'm hoping that I slathered POR-15 on early enough to save my mounts... :)

i just dont want it to get worse so i put a ton of por on it lol
 






Well that sucks...

Im going with universal 5foot lengths of pre-made U-channel generally sold for pickup truck box support rails, to replace the rotted rails under the back seat and the trunk area. Theres just not enough pre-made body metal available for Explorers.

i've had multiple on going oil leaks, power steering, transmission, engine oil, they are repaired now but they sprayed liberally during those highway miles and preserved the forward section of my underbody very very nicely! Its literally still factory paint under all the gooey stuff, that is until you reach the rockers, and the back seats =D

I feel your pain.. It's a worrying sight when you look below and find holes where they really shouldn't be
