I'm having trouble finding a manual hub conversion kit online

I called Napa Auto parts this morning because I like to keep my options open. They said they had a Milemarker hubs and conversion kit for my Explorer. Here's the part numbers: Conversion Kit: 7452930 Hubs: 7452697 I'd like to know if this is a viable option. They'd cost about $320 from Napa, but I can probably that at eBay?

Mile Markers available on Amazon ebay also

Yes it is a good option
Mile markers are good hubs
$320 is a bit much

Will still need spindle nuts

I'm not sure if you are just getting numbers mixed up, but you keep referencing D44 in your posts. You don't have a D44, and the D44 hubs are not interchangeable with your D35. The spindle nut sets are interchangeable between D35 and D44.

The link that 410Fortune posted in the above post will fit your Explorer.

Here are the nuts

Yes it’s my fault I mentioned the Dana 44 because they use the same spindle nuts and that just added to the confusion

Those will work! They are el
Cheapo China parts but correct application and comes with the spindle nuts

Those are not mile
Marker brand but they will work

I didn't realize there are 2 pages on this thread now. I posted my previous reply before I read anything from page 2. It looks like the conversion kit is included with the hubs in the link the 410fortune posted. I'm I correct about that and are the spindle nuts included in the conversion kit or do I have to get them separately?

Here are mile marker
Hubs

And you are Correct they show it includes the spindle nuts good deal for $190 mile
Markers are good hubs

I missed that the spindle Nuts are included the first time around my bad

I don’t believe the spindle nuts are included in the amazon listing.

BKennedy said to post links before I buy to be sure I'm not screwing up. My words not theirs. Here are the links to the ones I think will work on Amazon.
mile marker conversion kit manual hubs
Yes, this kit has everything you need, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend spending more on these parts.

You could take a chance and maybe that cheaper kit will work for you. I use my Explorer hard off-road and would go with the Mile Marker parts.

The third picture shows the spindle nuts

The third picture shows the spindle nuts
Yeah I did see that, it’s the only indication that they might be included.
I scanned the whole page carefully, it does not mention that the nuts are included.
But, there’s a review saying the they thought the nuts were included but they’re not.
Plus it shows the nut kit as a “frequently bought together” item.
I would be wary and not assume they’re included.

Bottom right

Might want to buy the $65 China hubs and see how long they hold up… probably work fine for most folks

The adds
For the mile Markers include pictures of the cheapo China ones… the mile markers the “tab” goes all the way across where the sticker is… the China ones do not go all the way across they have two snubs instead of one long knob hahaha

Hard to tell what you are ordering online sometimes hate to spend $200
Just to have $65 China hubs show up at the door

I haven't been here for awhile. I've been working on my F150 pu. I'm ordering hubs in a few days and I'm confused. 410Fortune dropped a link and BKenndy also dropped two links. One of BKennedy's links is the same Amazon ad that 410Fortune sent me. BKennedy also sent me a link to a conversion kit. Do I need the conversion kit and do I need to also order the spindle nut? I'm either getting both of BKenndy's links or just the one 410Fortune sent me and I'll be starting.

Please read the posts. All the information you need to decide what you want to do is in them at least once, spoon fed even.

Order the hubs and see if you get the conversion kit included. If not, then order the conversion kit.
Or, order both, and if the hubs come with the kit, return the separate extra kit.

I started removing the automatic hubs and ran into an issue. I posted a pic of a nut. I think it might be the cam assembly nut. It's octagon shape like a nut right where my stick is pointing. Then a smooth flange is thread onto the spindle. When I took the hub off a several parts stayed inside the hub. I don't have a wrench any where close to being big enough to loosen that nut. I was thinking of using a pipe wrench on the smooth section, but if I have to reuse it, it'll be ruined. I figure ask the ones who have done it before for advice.

There should be a flat locking key in the nut inside the cut out part of the spindle. You can turn the nut slightly to take pressure off the key, then pull it out with a pick or small screw driver. The nut is only supposed to be hand tight.
