In Need Of A Bigger Fuel Pump Help.

Well I need a bigger fuel pump for my EX cause of my turbo, and I called summit and they have an out of tank one for $350. A lot more than i'm looking to spend on one, and besides I'm looking for an in tank pump. They said that they don't know of any place that carries em, or if they're made for the 4.0. Anyone?????

I think you can just swap in an intake mustang pump

I'm running a Ford Lighning pump.

Where did you get it from Alec, In tank? How much?

It is in tank. My old mechanic got it from the dealer I think. It was around $200 from Ford.

Contact Torrie at FPN, he can probably get you one easily and cheaply. I went with the Lighning pump because it uses the exact same mounting as the Explorer. The Mustang pumps will work, but are slightly different.

EDIT: I don't know exactly what year mine is from, I think they stayed the same. I bought it new in January 2001 if it matters.

so that's all ya know huh? Cause he doesn't know much, I mean he knows more than me, but not $200 enough.

At the time I was in one of my hardest semesters in college. I basically handed the mechanic my keys and my credit card. Sorry I'm not of much help.
