Hi everyone,
I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever installed orange roof/cab marker lights (like the ones on pickups) on their 1996 Explorer. I’d really appreciate any feedback, sources, or pictures if you’ve done this.

Thanks a lot,
Benno from Germany

The problem I see with that is finding ones that match the contour of the roof. They're also called clearance lights.

I'm sure it can be done, just make sure to seal the holes for the wires and bolts/screws with silicone sealant.

Magst du diese Positionslampen? Braucht man sowas?
Did you like these clearance lamps? You need them badly?

Matter of taste i think.

why not wireless

Comment above is correct. Find lamps that are 12V and match the roof contour. Rest of the job is easy. You’ll have to partially lower the headliner. Wiring should be easy, down A-pillar and splice into parking lamp circuit.

Viel Glück und bitte senden Sie Bilder, wenn Sie fertig sind!
