intake manifold

would an older or racing manifold such as cobra style, comp cam, or edlbrock, fit my 99 5.0 awd

It will fit I have heard. However the Intake on the explrer 5.0 flows nearly equal to the Cobra intakes in fact they are designed the same just different outside casting. There is also a considerable amount of room for porting. Your heads are also cast iron gt-40p's.
