Anyone know if the roof on a '91 XLT is double walled. Im putting in an overhead console and since the roof has no provisions for it in 91, I was thinking about using very short sheet metal screws to mount the bracket. I way dont want to poke a screw through to roof of my rig.

some parts are.
There are support beams that go across ( left to right as opposed to front to rear )
But other than that your roof is one single sheet of metal.
