i was looking at the grill on my explorer and it looks like it is one piece with the trim that goes around the headlights. seeing as i want to do a billet grill, i was wondering if i have to replace this entire piece, or just the grill. its a 97 xlt 4door.

The is a grill is 3 pieces, but it comes out as one. To put in a billet grill it is just an add on to what you already have(I just did mine yesterday). You don't need to replace anything.

depends on the grill, some billets are just put over your stockers. Others require you to cut out the exisiting grill, which I'm assuming means the center section that holds the ford emblem and such. Check and see before you get it might save yourself some time getting one that lays overtop, not to mention being able to take it off if you don't like it

I havent seen the billet grills that go over the stock grill...I already have had one that u must cut. But I was looking to get the other kind...where can i get one thanks.....
