Is there a new MFT update newer than April 5?

I explained above that I have the new MFT system downloaded, that it worked fine for a week, now of course there is NO way to hear what is on my iphone anymore, no way, have done everything other than a master reset

this cant be fixed unless there is some new download or something...wow, this whole deal is so terrible...

does anybody know anything about an even newer update that I might now have if I have everything that was new a week ago?

Have you tried restarting the iPhone (hold down power, then slide to turn off, then turn back on).

Are you trying to use the dock connector, or over bluetooth?

I was getting no sound out of my iPhone last night. A hard reset of the phone fixed it.

and if a hard reset is holding down the two buttons on iphone until the apple appears and then it goes black completely

now it worked for a while via bluetooth, do I now have to use some connector instead? dont even know what to buy, i can ask someone here at my office who will know

i am going to do a master reset of the mysync first i suppose

OK complete master reset of mysync and iphone was necessary, did the trick, sure hope i dont have to do this too often

You don't have to use the dock connector, but I have always found the iPhone bluetooth stack to be shaky and unreliable. There is no special cable, just take the usb charging cable for the iPhone and plug it into the usb port in the console. Your phone will be recognized as an iPod and can be controlled via voice commands or with the browse button on the MFT

If you still have problems, the next thing they do is replace the APIM....AGAIN.

APIM is the module they replace after they try to update it over and over and over again and it still doesnt work.

b. dont know what APIM is, but I did do a complete reset of both iphone and sync and now it works

I took it to be a joke You know...today is the update to yesterday, and tomorrow is the update for today... and so on...

Seriously though, v3.0.2 is the current MFT version.

To the OP ... I assume the problem was actually the iPhone and not Sync.

To VinceL.. technically 3.0.2 is the current version, as to not confuse anyone.

remind me where on mysync do i find the latest version info such as 3.0.2 ? (i no longer try and keep track of it on mysync.com deal as i have to take flashdrives from the car to the home computer to report this or that, just cant keep up with all that)

went out to vehicle at lunch and all four corner menus wouldnt come up, the menu it defaulted to worked and nothing else, restarted after lunch and it worked....great, what now

Only way to get the version info is from syncmyride, run the status checker and update the site... It's important to keep it up to date, because if a new version does come out you won't be able to download it unless the site knows you are on the latest version.

The version might be shown in diagnostics mode
(while on am/fm radio, press and hold eject + right arrow for 12 to 15 seconds)
but you still need to update syncmyride

my deal says Sync VersionGen2 - V3.0.2 (on the website, not the car) - but get confirmed installations, is as i recall all this nonsense with flash drives

You take an empty flash drive
goto Syncmyride.com
click Update & Customize (after logging in)
click Download Now button under "SYNC Status Checker Tool"
select your flash drive as the location to download
when it's complete put it in the car, run the update
when it's complete take it back to the computer and report the successful install (on the same page)

it's really not that complicated, if you really don't want to be bothered take it to the service department and let them do it, it should take 10 minutes max for them to report the install for you.

Some people have said that when you run the vehicle health report it reports your latest version to syncmyride as well, I can't confirm this, but you can give it a shot.

NO, ran health report recently, didnt...and I have the newest upgrade and yet still the website isnt updated, so not a clue what i would do now, what I am sure that I wont do is try to reinstall the same update and then screw up everything

So i have the newest update yet the website doesnt know this, so I guess I could ask the dealer to report it somehow to the website otherwise I have to run the update again and risk all kinds of who knows what

again, this is ridiculous...and, the update that hasnt been confirmed is a real old one that is no longer even relevant given the newest update is reflected on the website...

The status checker is not really an update... it just runs a script that saves the version back to the USB so it can be reported to the site. You can run it as many times as you want.

If the website shows you are on 3.0.2 then it is showing you have the latest update, and you really don't need to do anything. If you want the other message to go away, then run the status checker and report the install.

Yeah, sync won't let you run an update if you've already run it, so you don't have to worry about that. The status checker won't harm anything, it's just a tool so that you can put syncmyride in sync (no pun intended) with the actual MFT version. Give it a shot!

The whole system is pretty dummy proof, you can't do anything to mess it up (beyond how it's already messed up that is )

Read the instructions I posted above... you start AT THE COMPUTER with the empty flash drive... you download the checker.. then take it to the car and run it.. then take the drive back to your computer and report the install
