Hey, I've got a '94 XLT. I have a cold-air intake and Flowmaster exhaust system. Those are the only performance mods. When accelerating, slamming the gas pedal down, it doesn't accelerate too much until 3rd gear. In the first 2 it moves, but in 3rd it jumps back and takes off. Is this normal? And what would my temp guage not moving affect, like a broken thermostat perhaps? Thanks!

perhaps just pushing the pedal down 80-90% might yield better results...also it could depend on your the gear ratio in your differential.

as far as the guage...you could have broken gauge, messed up thermostat or short in wire somewhere.
