As the title suggests there are a few things that I've been working on over during the cold season.

First is the 5 speed conversion:

Most of you know what an automatic explorer looks like so I won't post up the before shot...also I didn't take one. So here's the after including the new radar detector I wired up to the overhead console. There's an Apten chip hiding somewhere in there too.

I also replaced these old steps with some custom sliders from JCR Offroad here in Kalamazoo:

Found some time to add a winch to my KOZ Offroad bumper too! Warn 9.5xp.

wow that looks great! love the 5 speed, wish i had one

Man that looks awesome. That bumper is sweet!

Holy badass Batman!!!

I'm digging the sliders bigtime!

How do you like the lower first gear of the manual vs the auto, wait till you wheel it.

Now it's time for the hand throttle. ;)

Thats awsome that you were able to use the full console with it. Got any more pics of it close up? The whole truck looks awsome!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I love driving the stick much better than the auto, but I haven't had a chance to wheel the 5-speed yet. I just got my 4-low working the other day after a shift motor replacement so I'm really pumped to try it out. The stuff for the hand throttle is sitting in the garage I've just been overwhelmed with other stuff right now. :D

As for close up pics of the console...I don't have any right now. I was hoping to make a shifter boot up before I took those. ;) I ended up using a short throw shifter, and a modified extension for my BL to get it up through that hole in the console. I also had that air duct through there to mess with...I don't quite have that working well yet. I'll get some pics up soon though.

Nice work! Bumper looks great.
