James Duff extended radius arms

I know I don't have an Explorer but I believe the suspension is 100% the same. I just ordered a set of James Duff ext. radius arms for my '93 Ranger 4x4 and I was wondering how far back they mount on the frame. My concern is my nerf bars mounts. I'm afraid the new radius arm mounts and the nerf bar mounts are going to interfer with one other. Am I going to need to remove the nerf bars to make this work?

Do the new ext. radius arm brackets bolt to the transmission crossmember, forward of it, or to the rear of it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Both the Duff and the Skyjacker arms mount on the frame right where the transmission x member is. Both Skyjacker and Duff supply a new x member and tranny mount. The Duff arms are a PITA to use, they require the use of the dual shock hoop which is not easy to install, and on a Ranger I personally do not see the need for dual shocks.

The Skyjacker arms fit the best that we have seen (have installed Duff. Superlift, and Skyjacker) and are simple in design. The tranny crossmember is very stout and adds alot of rigidity to the frame. The Skyjacker arms also use the stock shock mounting point on the coil bucket. The Skyjacker arms will not work with under 4" of lift (they will hit the frame, so if you have a 3" lift then you need some longer coils or f-150 spring seats.

I am currently running the Duff 3" Vr lift with f-150 spring seats and the Skyjacker arms. THis is a great setup.

Skyjacker radius arms or custom built radius arms are the only way to go if you ask me....Simple is better. The Skyjacker setup is always simple and VERY stout.

Not to mention I cracked 3(!) Duff crossmembers, you can't run stock offset 15" wheels because the lower shock bolt srapes the wheel weights off, you have to run dual shocks which were painfully stiff riding, 31s rub at full lock, but other than that they were great!

Yeah, I wouldn't buy Duff again. The only thing I like about them so far is the bumper and the drop brackets. Coils blew and the radius arms have the same rubbing problems above, except the tires rub not the wheel, and I'm rubbing 3.75" BS with only 10.5" wide tires. I would go skyjacker, or maybe try tuffcountry.

Thats right! The Skyjacker arms are also shaped to avoid the tire rubbing issues, whereas the Duff arms are straight.

Duff bumpers, flares, drop brackets, and traction bars are good products......

I havent seen anything Skyjacker that isnt a superior product, except maybe their weaker stage I drop brackets, which are still strong, just not as strong.......

The Skyjacker arms seem sooooooo much more $$$! Summitt quoted me a cost of $499.95 before shipping and they are a special order (2 weeks to receive). 4Wheel Parts has the arms in stock but they want a staggering $575.95 BEFORE shipping! Nat'l tire is closed today.

What's about Superlift or someone mentioned Tuff country?

Yeah I'm fully aware of that. I've put over 10K in the truck on top of the sticker price.

Again, what about Superlift and/or Tuff Country?

tuff country seems to be a reputable company.... i plan on buying some of their stuff when i finally lift mine..... i have heard that superlift uses a design on their drop brackets that always brakes... even the new revised versions brake.....
