what is the return policy?

i'll try it. or does someone know something about em

here is a quote from their page....

10. A RETURN AUTHORIZATION (RGA) must be obtained before returning any products. To obtain authorization and instructions, you must have the invoice number with date of purchase. Returns must be in saleable condition and are not allowed after 90 days. Returns must be sent freight prepaid and insured in the original cartons, with all the original packing materials in place. We are not responsible for damage of returns due to improper packaging. Merchandise returned without an RGA, or sent COD will be refused. Returns may be subject to a 20% repackaging fee.

did you try searching this forum for info?

i'd love it if these would work

James Duff sells Advance Adapter conversion parts, but at good prices.

Just so you know those are AA headers.

They will fit a first gen 4x4 ONLY if you use a C4 transmission.

they will not clear the AOD or 4r70w transmission.

Duff would not take back the one's my friend bought, but he had them coated. He ended up using FMS headers.

I used the Torque Monsters and could not be happier, my truck was the guinnea pig for the conversion designed GT-40 5.0L headers.

Do a search over at rangerpowersports.com in the V8 section. All your exhaust manifold conversion questions are answered over there, but be careful most of those guys are 2wd.

when the Torque-Monster headers go below $300, I will buy them. There is absolutely no way I will pay $600 for headers. And I could never get a straight answer from the guy as to how these would work with a BL. I know Section has them but he had to mod the steering. The guy at TorqueMonster told me they would fit with no mods until I brought up Sections truck, then his story changed. He then told me they were going to make a version for BL trucks. It is sad that these are our only option.

Justin I understand your gripe. My experiences with dealing with Robert have been nothing but +. His customer service is amazing IMO.

Maybe you caught him on a bad day, I dont know.
On my 96 factory V8 truck with a 3" body lift the steering extension hit the factory manifolds so I assume you would run into similar issues with any aftermarket 5.0L headers and a body lift. The solution would be to not use the steering xtension but to either modify the stock shaft (lengthen with welding) or use an aftermarket shaft.

I plan to remove my body lift so this should not be a problem.

I think the headers are closer to $500 for EF members.

What 5.0L are you putting into what year truck? which transmission?

The "Duff" headers did not even come close to fitting as Duff promised they would.
research is the KEY to conversions, alot depends on what engine mounts you use, etc Every truck is different, that is for SURE!

the headers will be for my factory V8 '00 Explorer

Hmmm my information says the 98-01 GT-40 5.0L all use the same external EGR system.
96-97.5 was internal EGR before the "P" heads.
So it looks like the FMS headers will not have a port on the pass side for an EGR tube
This means they may only fit the GT-40 before the P heads.

I would think though, that an EGR bung could be welded on pretty easy, although I understand it is there.
The set I'm buying from another member has this bung already on the passenger header.
Possibly the kit includes a cap for 96-early 97

(or eliminate the EGR, shhhh a solution but not the best one)

Egr might bring horsepower down a bit, but it is one of the reason's later model engines last longer. Plus it is a hassle to fool the pcm. That pesky DPFE sensor also communicates transmission info
