Those pics of 95tm ports should look exactly like yours.tell brandon atleast you dont have soup bowls for pistons!!!hahha

Jd, touche!...

more like Salad bowls though, get it right!! :p:

By the way, my 95tm intake port STRIKINGLY resembled yours when I got it back from the machine shop ;) And they actually managed to knock out most of the little hump there in the exhaust ports as well as that rough finish.. That's ALL I'm going to say about my head work!! :p: :D

hahha:D o yea these pics are of the stock heads, mine look way different:shifty_ey:shifty_ey

Is that factory cross-hatching I see on #2? Impressive!!!

Mine had none left whatsoever... probably because of all the mud water that found it's way into my engine a couple times.. :p:

im looking at the fullsize pics from the cam and i cant even see what youre talking about lol

also, whats the best way to get the power steering off? all the steps, including draining it if needed (too much gook to really see whats going on to get it off)

Look in cylinder #2, is there cross-hatching on the cylinder wall? Might just be my computer screen messing with me..

Also, I'm not sure if the lines and harness will allow you to do it on the 1st Gen, but I just sucked the fluid in the resevior out and bungie corded the pump out of the way up near/to the driver's side hood hinge on top of the brake booster, that way I didn't have to undo all the high pressure lines and worry about re-fluiding the thing.. that's just what I did though..

ahhh that explains it. you werent high off paint fumes, you were high off power steering fluid you sucked out lol

ill go take a macro of #2.
so suck out what i see in the res, unbolt, hang out of the way. but.. its all gooky and i cant see, how many bolts/where are they that i need to take out?

Regardless you def. will need to suck out the fluid in the reservoir, and maybe by one of those cooking sucker things not a straw!!! lol.. Other than the wire harness, there's two lines on the bottom of it, a high and low pressure, the low pressure is the return to the pump, you probably can pull that off with your hand, the other, high pressure or the feed to the steering rack may require a wrench, kinda like the fuel lines on your fuel rail, or a disconnect tool, kinda like the fuel filter or a/c line tool.. but then again I can't remember.. I'd have to go out in the rain to look at the bottom of my pump and I don't want to :p:

I'm sure JD will chime in with his boundless information here before long..

im guessing its good to have it? the mileage is atleast 260k, does that mean newer motor?

forgot to post about a nasty i found, in the spaces between the injectors there was a crap load of rat poop all over. didnt notice before cause its all the same color

Man you should have left the heads on.its easyer to pull that way.you can leave the ps pump on there.i took one line off and spun the pulley, put a pan under it and it will empty 90%its self.bottom ends normally look good.mine look just like it did when it came back from the machine shop. Got my new tires today, looks like ill be adding more lift, things are HUGE!!!

Ps just pull the water pump off if you cant get the fan off.its gota come off to come out!!

the bolt under the lower rad hose is a *****. i got a wrench on it and turned it but due to limited space it wont go back on except the spot i took it off at, so no more turning. there can not be any possible way unless that fan is off....

im gonna be installing an electric fan when i get there..
