2000 Explorer Sport
Hi.... A few months ago I bought a 4.0L 2000 Explorer Sport 4x4 w/ currently 58k miles. Ever since a few weeks after I bought it, a lot of times immediately after it comes to a complete stop, it will seem to try and jerk forward a little. I bought it to the dealer because it was under warantee still and they said the air shocks do that sometimes. Not knowing too much about air shocks and since the dealer has a good reputation, I let it go but now i'm starting to get a little concerned. Is this jolt normal?

Thanks!
Jared

welcome to the site... to me, it sounds like a suspension (balljoints. tierods) type of problem or rotating assemblies liek the driveshafts/u joints

like jim said; do a search for slip yoke; very easy and common, seems like I just posted about this in another thread 2 days ago.
