Keep in mind the kit isn't 8000k, the bulbs are. So if you buy a kit w/ 8000k bulbs, you can buy lower kelvin bulbs when you become dissatisfied with the output

the whole argument about using hte lower kelvin HID's is dumb.

i hate the really really blue ones, but the 6-7500k ones are very much almost as bright as the 4300k ones. both are a major upgrade over stock, and both are every bit as bright as anyone needs their headlamps. let him get the higher ones if he wants.

Having used both 6500 & 4300 K bulbs in my cars projector lights the amount of light difference is anything but dumb. I guess you would have to see the difference because it is really noticiable.

i've installed them both. however, not in the same car. have you in the same car with the same lenses?

Kit I got first had 6500 or something really blue. I honestly think the halogen were better in some respects. 3 mos later I changed bulbs and have been happy ever since.
