No Robert, that KB was a waste of money. The turbo is the only choice. Sounds like a politician, everything is black or white, etc.

What cat pipes are you using so far, I have to do something soon because of a CEL code, and 164k. I shall try a pair of the newest style of bullet shaped 2.5" cats. Louder exhaust coming soon,

He didn't waste his money. That's an awesome build and should be respected for his dedication.

Wonder why the big dogs on TV run around with root type blowers and not turbo's?

I think Don was mixing a little sarcasm with humor there. He didn't mean anything by it.

Thanks for the kind words though.

The big dogs usually run around on TV with turbos nowadays. When referring to big dogs I mean non-funny car big dogs. When it comes to making extreme horsepower on a smaller displacement engine turbo is debatably the best way to go due to their efficiency. But things get much more specific than just merely, "which one makes more peak horsepower". My particular version of blower is a pretty thermodynamically efficient one for being this type. I will be happy with it for a while.

Thats the beauty of the twin screw K.B, are so friggen quite, nobody knows your blown:)

It's one of the most beautiful sounds you will ever hear a car make, just make sure you have some tissues handy for your first time :D

To wipe the tears of joy or the butt? :D

I remember my first time I hopped into my X when I completed stage 1 of the Kenne Bell mods. I got into it a little and heard the whine and let out right away(in crowded parking lot). Then as I went to take a left turn out of the parking lot I gassed it a little bit once I was straightened out. Well let just say it screamed and the truck did a 180 right there. Yeah, I had lots of fun that night.

My second most enjoyable time with it so far was when I took it to the track to see what kind of ET's it would run and a lot of people were just freaking out when they were seeing my staging burnout and then when I started taking out Evo's, GTO's, and various Mustang's. The announcer bragged my truck up quite a bit that night. :D

When your idling you can just make out a slight whistle. Once I post a few videos of its new configuration with the much higher boost and catless exhaust with the headers the Kenne Bell scream will be VERY apparent.

Now Whipple's twin screws don't scream at all, idle or WOT. Thats cool and all, but I like the scream myself.

Your truck is slow... I give this project a big thumbs down :thumbdwn:

How gay of an idea to build a "sleeper" with a 2003 that only had 7,000 original miles...

Shame on you!

I'm going to assume you're just a friend talking smack.

I have heard a config supercharger on a 5.0 Mustang. I got my a$$ handed to me with my last project cuss of tire spinning off the line. Even if that wouldn't of happened he still would have got me.

That, and I have a friend that has two, yes two lightnings. One is modded, the other is complete stock. However, I'm sure they don't sound as sweet as rockets truck will.

Hehehehe. Even then he still isn't getting it. :D I am trying to telk him into an EE roots charger. If I do get rid of this KB 2.2 I will probably sell it as a kit to one of the srious Explorer members. If it doesn't sell for a while after that I will just sell it to one of my Mustang buddies.

Hehehe planning on running much faster than 12's. If I only hit 12's I better have 2 cylinders out. :D

Yes, you are right. Jim is actually at my place right now. I am about 95% done with the new fuel pump hat. Also got the FPR mounted and plumbed. Going to bolt the tranny and engine together and then finish off the front drive accessories. Still got to wait to install the engine/tranny combo till I get my Baumann TMU. I want to wire it in before installing so I don't have to work in such a tight area. I will post a pics of two once I get the new fuel hat and pump assy 100% complete.

Everything was going good last night...but we ran into a pretty major snag. I will let Rob explain what happend. It really sucks, but for not having any major snags so far, this shouldn't be really a big deal, more of a pain in the ass.
