Its funny how when you are near one goal you set another higher benchmark for things. Once I reached 400 at the ground I was happy but I felt like it wasn't nearly enough. Once I reach 600 rwhp I will like it a lot but I already have plans of going bigger.

I remember when I first conceived this project my power goal was only 500rwhp. I told myself that once I reached that I would be happy. Then it went up to 550, then 600 for a while and then I decided to shoot for 700 at the wheels by next year after spray. It just keeps going up and up. The best thing is that all that I have done and mods that I have installed or am currently installing are easily capable of supporting up to 1,000 hp if I choose to go that high.

That's how I am. I say that I would be happy with 200 @ the RW but once I got there I would want more. It's sort of like when you do a MOD and really can tell the difference. It's all cool for about a week and then I'm ready for more...and more. I think that's what makes a winner.

I have these plans with my V6. Sometimes I think, "Why am I doing this? Why not just swap in a V8? The mods are endless there." But, I made a goal and I need to stick with it. Plus I've talked a little crap and I must back that crap up.

Keep it up, don't break your car in half, and post more pics...vids... Do it right so you don't break things. (Don't get me wrong, you sound very knowledgeable and obviously know way more than I do)

My buddy and I plan to rebuild it and keep it for a spare in case one of ours crap the bed. He has a 700rwhp 01 Cobra and I plan to have a 700rwhp Explorer by next year if I can afford it. I might just keep the 5R55W as a spare for the LS in case I kill the 5R55S tranny in it.

That's not the right answer. The right answer is that I will come up there and spend the week drinking beer, grilling, and swaping your current set up into my truck with me.

You going to soak it in oil and wrap it in plastic to store it?

Hehehe. Good to see you! I thought ya fell off the face of the earth for a while there. If you come up to Illinois I will trade you for what is in my Explorer's engine bay right now for what is in yours. :p

I plan to wrap the stocker block up nice and tight to preserve it so as to minimize oxidation on the aluminum block.

BTW, pretty much any of you are more than welcome to come on up to my place and spend time drinking beer, grilling, and saying "yep" and "uh huh" alot while staring at random car parts.

I just want a ride first, just don't go over 80 MPH. I had an accident going well over 100. Every since then I've been a wuss going over 80....then we could drink some beer.

It is not about the speed for me either, it is the accelleration that I crave.

I crave photographs. Can you help me? :D

Well I finally built the engine yesterday. Timing the cams was a learning experience but it is all good now. I was able to make the 8AN front fuel rail crossover work. It is tight but it is functional. I also tried out the 8 rib swap too. So far things are going well with that too. Overall the engine is looking badass! I cannot wait for the rest of my fuel system parts to come in and then continue waiting on my tranny. To tide some of you over I made a video of the newly assembled engine. I think it looks pretty sexxy especially with its Ford blue accents.

KBX's Finished Engine Tour

I cannot wait to get this all into the truck and tuned. I wanna hear this thing scream! :burnout:

you are the KING!!!!!

Just receieved the Ford GT pumps the other day. Still waiting on the 8.5" crank pulley and additional 3" flat 8 rib idler pulley. Also waiting on my fuel lines which are backordered till around the 15th of August. Then once the fuel lines come in the Art Carr 4R70W tranny should be following shortly after. I still have to get off my butt and also order my TMU w/ wiring harness and also send my stocker FPDM out to be rewired to handle dual fuel pump amperage.

Overall I have been leaving it alone lately to take my mind off of it and relax. Since I don't have the parts to really do much more at this time there is no point in fiddling with it again just yet. I suppose I could wire in the ignition upgrade but besides a few more minor things, that is about if for right now. Once the tranny comes in is when I can really get back to work and button things up.

Still waiting on KB to pull their heads out of their azzes. They sent me a WHOLE other 8 rib kit! I ordered the 8.5" 8 rib crank-over pulley! Totally not the same! They plan to 2nd day air it to me. Not that it is a rush or anything. Still got a few more weeks waiting on other important parts to come in. The good thing is that I am almost done spending money on this thing for the year! :D All's I have is another $700 worth of mods to buy and I will be done with the big stuff this year.
