Keyless entry code 4 numbers and a x..

Hello everyone..I recently purchased a 09 for 4x4 explorer....found the keyless entry code in the glove box but it has 4 numbers and an x at the end.instead of 5 numbers..anyone know what the x is supposed to be????

Never seen that before.

Have you figured out the code yet? If you're only missing the last digit, you'd only have to try 5 combinations to get it.

Once you have it, you can program your own custom code too

You have it so easy if that's all it is. We had to have dealer hook up to retrieve the code. No other way to find out. That should not take more than 30 sec. We spent days trying different things and search for various stickers and bar codes but it does not apply to this year.

That code you have is the mechanical key code.....not the keyless code..Handy if you should lose all yourt keys
