2006 Explorer Keyless Entry Code

Just bought a 06 Explorer, no keyless entry code in glove box. Bought SUV used form a non Ford dealer, so no help there. Any idea where the code is on this 2006.

If you can't find the code on the vehicle, it can be retrieved with one of the quality scanners, Snap on or the Ford equipment.

I'm in the same situation. I just bought a 2006 explorer and they didn't leave the keyless code in the glovebox.
So, how do you take off the B-pillar? I just tried and almost broke it. What's the trick?

wouldn't behind the second row seat be the "C" pillar?
A at windshield
B between doors
C between rear door and rear tire

Can somebody please shed more light on this?
I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a special tuner or pay the dealer money when somewhere on our vehicles it is printed free.
I'm thinking the B-pillar is between the doors like mentioned above. If it's really the C-pillar, then it's probably in the same place as the previous generations on the driver side behind the netted panel in the trunk.

My '08 was missing the card also. Manual said it was printed on the computer...maybe you could check there?

Yea, I read that in my manual too. The problem is that they don't tell you where the computer is.
If they are talking about the main master computer for the vehicle, I know where that is. It's in the engine bay on the firewall. But, that does not have a code printed on it. So, I'm thinking that there is a seperate computer that controlls the keyless entry system like the previous generations had near the rear hatch of the vehicle. From what I've heard, Ford moved the keyless entry computer to another location on the 2006 and up models. Where that is, I do not know for sure.

2007, mecury mountaineer, ford explorer, door keyless entry code is located on the fuse panel under driver side dashboard, it is called SJB smart junction box, it is a 5 digit code printed about 1 inch from the bottom of the fuse block, you can not see the number off hand because it faces the metal frame of the car. stick your cell phone between the car and the fuse panel and start taking pictures! here is a picture.

I used my camera like this to get the code printed on the sticker. (Note this is just an example; this explorer did not have a keypad option so there is no 5 digit code on this sticker but it would be there if it did)

here is another picture on an 07, I think after 07 they went to the sticker method.

this picture was taken again near the e-brake pedal. I blured out the rest of the code.

I found mine for an Explorer 2006 - XLT - on the back of the control unit ( the SJB ) under left side dash on the A pillar, so right above the hand-brake release handle you will see an electrical box - unit and on it there is sticker facing the outside of the vehicle, so a with mirror you should be able to read your code on it.

Just lock the vehicle, then type in the numbers one row at a time, unlock and lock the vehicle after EACH line to make sure the system doesn't lock up on you. Took me about 30 minutes, and my code was about 2/3rds down the list.

NO...the system shuts down for 30 minutes after 35 key pushes...now theoretically, you could do one line every day until you discover the code.

That's why after EACH line, you have to cycle the locks with the key fob.

OMG! I printed this out and was ready to spend some time working on it... but my code was on the THIRD LINE!! And my local Ford dealership was going to charge me $50 to plug it into a laptop and read it off of a screen! Thank you SO much!!!
