I have a 95 ford explorer limited 4x4 that I'm trying to program key fobs for but they are from a 95-97 corwnvictoria but they wont work with my explorer. I have done the turn key 5-8 time in ten seconds to get into programing mode but they wont work. They both have new batteries in them but I cant get them to work. Can anyone help me out?

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

Thanks,
Marc

When you say they won't work, do you mean it won't enter programming mode or it will enter programming mode but does not respond to the fobs?

If it enters programming mode but does not "take" to the new fobs, then those fobs are the wrong type. There are several that look alike, but their FCC ID's will be different.

I can get my Explorer to enter paring mode but when I hit the lock or unlock button on the key fob nothing happens.

The model # is F8AB-15K601
and the FCC # is CWTWB1U313

I hope this will help out on figuring how to get them to work with my Explorer and thanks for the welcome.

Im pretty sure you have the wrong fobs.

I believe you need a fob with the FCC#- GQ43VT4T

Somebody else on this site with a 95 explorer and keyless remote should be able to confirm this by looking at the FCC# on their remote.
