Ok I played around with the search for a little while, and found the info I wanted but am looking for ya'lls opinions on my options.
I have a '99 Ex Sport 4x2, that is my daily driver. Its completely stock. I have 255/70r15s on it now. I have some 31x10.50r15 BFG A/Ts I just took off my off-road truck, got bigger tires for it. They have about 20-25K miles left on them and I don't have the money to buy new tires for the explorer right now. So I'm going to have the 31 put on it. I want to lift the explorer slightly just so that the 31s don't look to big in the wells. My question is this which option should I take in the rear: 1. 4 leaf springs from a 4wd or 4door, 2. add-a-leaf for over all lift(back to level then the extra 1in.) 3. new lift shackles on old sagging springs, or lastly 4. a combo of add-a-leaf and shackles? I'm also open to any suggestions or if you have a link to a similar thread, then post up.
I have had the springs rearched one time before but they are back where they were. I have no experience with monoleafs, and have no idea how they react to different situations, they don't seem to hold an arch very well thought.
