hey man, I was wondering if you could point me in the correct direction. I am looking to get either 2 kicker L7 15 inchers, 1 JL W7 13.5 inch, or 2 rockford fosgate Power HX2s. what will be the best mix of spl/sound quality? responsive to fast bass like techno?? crystal method?? I want a really loud system and plan on using a ported setup. Best amp to use for sub combo?? let me know- I am leaning towards HX2s powered by kicker or pheonix gold.. let me know what you think though- thanks man

ill be one to tell you that i love my audiobahn when i have it in my car. but leenjen will prob tell ya the same, hes got one kickass sub, its audiobahn, but i cant remember the model #.

I think Lee is putting in or has put in a AW1206Q sub with a A2150HCQ amp. Which should be an amazing setup. I only hope that I can get that same setup.

out of the three possible setups that you mentioned, the two Kicker L7 15's will hit the hardest and move the most air. they sound best for rap, hip hop, and techno. they love electronic bass. so that's another reason why i think you'll love them. kicker amps are also great, so you could use one to power those subs.

anyway, my system in the works (currently on hold because i've been busy doing a lot of installs. and we just bought a mazda 626 with the factory system that must be changed out immediately) is:

two Audiobahn AW1206Q subs
powered by Audiobahn A2200HCQ amp
Audiobahn 5.25" components in the kicks
Audiobahn 6.5" 3 way speakers in front doors
Digital Audio 6X8's in rear doors
Audiobahn A275HCQ to power all front speakers
Audiobahn 8 volt line driver
Audiobahn 5 farad capacitor

that's all i have for now...

If you do the L7 make sure you have enough power. The problem I run into at work is guys buy 2 and then run a wimpy amp to them and hate them.
The guys who listen to me and run a amp with at least 1000watts to each love them( Rockford BD1000, Xtant 1001a and such). These thing need power and lots of it to get the most out of them.

Just thought I'd say, the square subs aren't huge in my book... I've had bad expriences with LOTS of fostgates (ask if ya want) so if ya got the money, go with the JL's

hey there- thanks for the input. I demoed the Solobaric L7 15 inch sub, in a sealed box and I love it! I think I will just go sealed too thanks all.
