lift question!

That's what I thought, I hate that look, at least here all our trucks sit level front to rear.

...if you watch the core trucks on nbc, you would see the setup/look and how it moves...the front is designed for jumps and landings...the rear suspension trails, and drops straight down to meet traction...that's about as good as i can explain it...:D

Yea thats ok but I'm talking about all the posers who drive around like that. Makes it look like their rear end is sagging. But anyway i'm not trying to diss anyone's style it's just my opinion

...i here ya...the funny thing is, 20-30 years ago if your truck sat like that everyone would ask when you were going to complete your suspension...;)

That's the ticket...

It's the ones that just drop the rear and raise the front, and you wonder how they can see out the front window. They do it for looks, I understand that... but it doesn't look like the real deal, it looks like they broke something and just didn't fix it. Around here we have a group that actually use their trucks off road - in the appropriate locations. And their vehicles are only tilted back enough to serve that purpose...

...you hit the nail on the head...you know this from knowing the vehicles...if you don't know about vehicles they look about the same...;)

...plus, there are alot of trucks out here in the transition mode too...as we know, these projects take time and lots of money and you still need to drive to work...:D

Oh yea and :censored: you

Dood are you being serious?
We are on the internet. Like really.
Acting hard on here will not do anything. You can act like your cool but it all actually you are probably a car freak cause you want to look cool. Its not a popularity contest on here. I'm just asking a few question. And these guys seem cool. So if you have a problem come to sd. Alright thanks.

...we try to keep to the topic and tend to play nice...can we keep with the subject???...thanks all... ;)

Haha seriously.
But yeah. I'm gonna actually offroad mine. Just not trails. Which means I don't need mad articulation so in other words I don't need a 5" lift in the rear. I'm just gonna take it out to the dunes. And yeah I like it with the front higher then the rear. With full fiberglass. Maybe the f-150 conversion kit. For the front fiberglass.

...have you looked at the pismo trail reports yet??? how much do you have in your budget??? you are 4wd correct??? i didn't see it next to your vehicle yr. but thought thats what you posted...

No I haven't. I need the address. Cause I'm always on my phone on the internet like right now. And its hard to search for things. But I can spend up to a grand if its really worth it. But I really only wanna spend like 500. But nah 2wd. Its lame. I've been trying to find a 4wd but no luck with how much I can spend.

The thing is: Shaaaare

$500 in San Diego should be no problem...

Well I'm probably gonna drive up to long beach to get a lift for 300. But I'm gonna end up spending like 75 on gas alone. And this is a test to see if the exploder will make it like 400 miles round trip. Ha so yeah if I break down its gonna be bad news

Hmmm

You know we don't go to Strong Beach unless we have to... :shifty_ey Try 400 miles on the 8. At least you won't get run down like on the 5 if anything happens... And if you break down in Santa Ana or Costa Mesa

(joking people, no hate please :D

Yeah the 8 is way better. familar teritorry and alot calmer. but i dont feel like having to drive to like az. i would rather go up to long beach get the lift then maybe drive to la and do some stuff. like see kat von d and get a tattoo or something hahah. you seem like you live down here i take it?

I live everywhere...

I'm familiar with the territory... this is a nice place. OC is home for now. It's late, so I'm out... (be careful callin people out though, these people know more about life than anything - cars just happen to be a common factor we have. These are good people, you know? Cuidate mi hermano, y buenas noches!;)

ya'll are stupid for tkaing this guys thread completely off topic. thats just uncooth. but since its all yrou talking about.. for the record the cali look. can be eithe way really.. the surfers used to hav jacked up rears to hold all teh weight of their friends and boards. by the time the loaded up it would be practically level. then thers teh surfers who didnt lift em, and just loaded up. ther cars were the ones that sagged. so it kinda goes either way. but i would consider a cali look a car with "rake" (one end of the vehicle jacked up or lowered)

either way this has nothing to do with this guys thread. so let it go starrt a new thread in an appropriate column or website

just chatting, it has nothing to do with manners. And we're not off topic, start from the beginning and it all ties in... :) You can see the topic was pretty much covered, so if you have additional input, jump in... And we're not uncouth, we are just, as they say, kickin it'
