ok guys a little bit of an update, passenger side is done. i got some pics for yall.

this is with the adjustable uca which wouldnt work with my bump stop sooooooo.....

i changed it out with a driver side uca which works much much better. this is at full droop....

so far with stock uca's im pulling about 3" more of downtravel but an extraordinary amount of up travel. i will have to rebuild the bumps as they are foa and i bought them off of the DR forums and they look somewhat used but it shouldnt be too bad. I'll also have to strap it since its a 6" and not an 8". plus have to pick up taller springs since the spring is atleast 2" shorter than i need.... so a 14" will have to do. havent crunched the exact travel numbers since the driver side needs to be done. I'm kinda on the fence about how the hoops look but as long as its not bottoming out im fine and plus the pictures were sent via phone so in person i may like it a lot more... let me know what you guys think so far.

Do you guys think if I did enough trimming to fit 33x 12.50s with a TT and and AAL once I do the body lift I would be able to run 35x12.50s? I've looked back at a lot of your trimming pics but can't really tell. Theirs a bolt I believe in the metal n the back of the front wheel wells did u guys cut behind it and remove because I just cut up tight to the front. Iv been pricing tires and 35s are only bout $100 more than 33s

Shooter,

Considering that's exactly what I did, I'm inclined to say yes. Check my thread "Installed 35" KM2s" for how I did the trimming. Only rubbing I have now is the gap guard on the passenger side had a fastener come out and the tire grabs the guard occasionally and it gets to flapping along the treads. Easily fixed when I get 10 minutes to spend alone with her.

The extra "up" travel comes from the higher upper shock mount on the hoop, i'm guessing, but how does it give you more droop? Or is the extra droop only on the right, from going to a 1-pc uca?

Lookin good!

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have a nice Trac but I can't really see it well in the tiny profile photo.

I am not up to speed on how to post pics to threads. I am always ready to learn something new.

More or less it's the lower ball joint being replaced with a Johnny joint. That made a huge difference as they can go to steeper angles compared to a ball joint. Dont get me wrong the uca is a limitation to more travel but there still is a bit more droop you can get out of those puppies appearantly. There are quite a bit of factors involved but many of them have been figured out and to where we can get a substantial amount of travel out of the suspension without going to long travel. Go check out the previous pics I posted of the build and you will see what angle we set those cups for the Johnny joint.

here ya go guys: here ya go guys, i had some more pics i took while we were at the shop finishing everything up....

rode on the interstate today for about 4 hours and boy i think its a thousand times better than before. it still needs work. like i said before itll need taller springs and some fresh rebuilds in the foa bumps. and im doing spindles to clear the tires. also it sits about an inch lower because i only have a little bit of preload on the springs. Thank you CFS Offroad!

Do the Rancho quick lift shock system lift the front end about the same height as a TT without the loss of travel you lose when you do a TT? Has anyone used them?

Those aren't for our Trac's, I think they make them for the 2nd Gen ST's since they have struts.

^bingo. they will work for 3rd gen explorers and i assume 2nd gen sport tracs. they look pretty stout though

shooter....Did you go to CFS in Columbia SC?

Took a trip up to Geneva Creek because we were bored.. lol
