Dauntless76, any toolbox that fits a Ranger with a regular box (not stepside) will fit our Sport Tracs. I see you're in Ames. I bought mine at the DeeZee outlet store on NE Broadway in Des Moines for $50. It's a scratch and dent, but well worth $50. The back corners of the lid were slightly bent. No biggie. Mine is a low profile box, and it looks like sprttrackin's is too. Still can't see the tailgate in the rearview mirror even with the low profile toolbox.

Badass man, thanks for the info, and nice to have a fellow sport trac follower in my neck of the woods. Just got a quote from TotalTruck in DM today to install my lift kit for 550. Since I dont have good space to do it myself looks like that will be happy August present to myself.

That street art is crazy especially that lifelike ST lol. Trucks lookin good man.

Does anyone know if the prerunner style bumper from Dixon brothers racing for the ranger will fit the sport trac with cutting the sport tracs bumper some?? That would save me a lot of time and money.

Yes it would fit but it's crazy expensive. For that price You can get a front and rear bumper done by a shop. What I don't like about that bumper is that it sticks out quiet a bit.

i already have plans for my front bumper the bottom black part is cut out and ill slide the thickest steel i can that can still be bent easily then have it go from bottom of frame rail to colored plastic and wrap front to fender corners this will net me round 3" bumper clearance then do a seperated grill gaurd that bolts to the factory bumper mount.

like this but not stinger style

Well, I talked to my brother in Minnesota and he is gonna take a week or so off and come down and visit me here at the end of August, early September. Therefore, BL will go on then, and I have a new plan after falling prey to Offtrac's (thanks a ton for makin me spend more Hugh lol) 35" thread. 315/70/17 Duratracs on Pro Comp Rock Crawler 17x9's with 4.25 backspacing. Obviously lots of you guys know a lot more than I do so feel free to critique as necessary but I think it oughta be sweet.

I have loved the look of Offtrac's 35s but Duratrac is gonna be better for me in my current place than a pure MT. Thoughts, concerns? Will post pics as I have things done in the next few months in prep such as: shocks, painting cladding/bumpers, hitch, and maybe an Aussie locker and 4.56 gear switch from my stock 4.10, unless someone thinks I oughta leave that part alone.

Thanks for feedin the addiction guys :D

Sweet! Another 35" Trac in the works! With 4.25" BS you will rub your sway bar at full lock. I did with 3.75" but it seems that a good range for the BS is 3.75-4.25".

As for the gears, 4.56 will put you somwhere in the neighborhood of having 3.73s with stock tires. Personally, I regeared to 4.88s and love it. I ran with stock 4.10s for about 8 months and I did like the setup although I didn't know how much better 4.88s are and also how close my speedo is now after the regear. I think you should at least wait a little on the regear and see how you like the new setup because that will be an expensive change.

I would chime in about the Aussie but so far mine haven't gotten in either axle so they are still sitting in the bed of my truck. I know LONO loves his and lots of guys on here and other places say lockers will be the best trail upgrade for the money you can do other than tires.

Sweet. You're welcome, haha. Money well spent IMO. I don't have anything to add; looks like you've got a good plan.

01STrunner: thanks man I will definitely keep 4.88 in mind just want someone with more experience with gear ratios to tell me I was on the right "trac" (couldn't resist). My 265 bfg ats rub the sway bar at full lock now so not super concerned with that. It will be a lot of fun to jump to the big leagues and have something a bit different.

Offtrac: how tall is your trac runnin your 35s? It's the one thing I can't estimate in advance lol. And no worries I'm happy with your bad influences haha. It will be really cool.

I also am planning on a full steel front bumper (the vendors on here is the plan) at some point. It's a fun work in progress.

75" to the roofline not including the rails. 11" clearance at the rear diff and 15" clearance at the front. Never measured until you asked. Now I know.

Thanks OT, much appreciated. Looks like no more parking garages for me lol

Haha you had to go there. Still a good laugh. And then there's guys that are Offtrac and working on things like houses instead of the ST:D

Anyway I know Travis over on MyST is happy with his 35s and 4.56 ratio so it's really up to you as far as gears. I get about 16 driving around Clemson. That's about all she sees since I have a car for further travels. However I only get about 14.5-15 on the hwy cruising 65-70. That was reversed when I was 9" lower without the SAS an still had my 4.10s.

I still can't decide whether I want to take out my BL or not. I can flex the rear wheels all the way up into the wheel wells with the extra flex from the SOA but I'm just over 7' with the roof rack

Thanks OT, much appreciated. Looks like no more parking garages for me lol

I've found a lot of parking garages in upstate SC are 7' so all the lifted trucks can actually park there lol.

Sad isn't it? What's worse is I have put together a parts list for the tons. Over $6,500 in parts alone.

Holy crap i paid less than that for 44 parts and an install.

Wow...That's almost what paid for my truck

That's chromoly shafts, Reid knuckles, Yukon gears, etc. I can probably bring it down some by substituting "weaker" parts; I just wanted to quote it out at the ridiculously strong, don't need spare parts, price. Wheels and tires not included in that price.

PM me for address to send donations, lol.
