Ok i need to get a pair of these things but....

When measuring where should i strap it? inner side, middle, or the outer end? of the lower arm

I know they stretch a little so i might go an inch short than needed.

You can put the limiting straps any where on the lower arm. Just make sure they dont interfere with any moving parts. And I would suggest maybe getting the limiting straps 2" shorter then you need they will stretch some.

Can i mount these on the front of the a-arms - makes sense that i could. and why 2" do they strech that much?

Should i go with a triple wrap or just the standard double. - no jumping here.

2" because you want to make sure that the straps are doing the limiting and not the shocks. you should be fine with the double, unless you want to go all out. also ive seen trucks just run one strap right in the middle of course that was with a soild axle

Got Flex?

A picture of what i am straping for the futrue referrence and those that wanna see why i need straps

The frist one is the overview the second well its a close up shot of my cv angles, The wierd thing is : It still had room to go lower ?!? only another 1 or 2 tho

Oh and if i go with 16" straps I should be able to use existing holes in the frame and rear of the lower arms and it will limit me above that there...

comments please.

dayum you got that thing MAXXED out!! thats exactly what i was thinkin to with the 16" strap using some existing holes. im prob going to mount mine on the control arm on the side where my lower shock mounts are going to be. (the new hole i have to drill on the side) which hole are you gunna be using on the frame? and 2ply or whatever should be fine, they are rated for 7000lbs, and thats PLENTY!

wait i forgot the 2" rule so 14" strap but then again i am thinking 15" cause its not alot of weight there and i go slow....

Just think if i hoop it and add a coil over no torison bars. If i do that i'll drop the front diff 1-2" at least so i can get more travel. Maybe a slipjointed cv shaft ...

At least now you know why i was able to pull the cv's out a little from the axle.

One word TIME, The army changed my training schedule. so instead of having the time i needed off from training i will be in training straight till almost christmas. after christmas i will be in training till almost mid may then a move to washington state. So i am at least a year and a half from starting more like two after moving and settling in and stuff. So i am gonna run what i got till then and plan for the best. Hoping to get a start around christmas on the mockup but who knows. So i gonna run something aleast. With a shock hoop i can use that in my sas still for my coil over if done right.

Tarheel 15" straps are gonna be to long for you 13's should work with stock travel. i personally dont care about my cv's cause i bought IZwack's old ones. On top of that i am gonna drop the transfer i think 1-2". tommorrow i'll be doing the measurements for that.

yeah, they might be, but ill make em work ;) it just depends on where i mount them on the frame.

i was going to order mine thru poison spyder customs that was the cheapest i found them. Still have to check over on the vendor forum at priate to see if they have them cheaper than 17.99

hang on a minute. limit straps do not stretch 2", they stretch about 1" per 1 foot of strap material with a 3 ply strap. with a 2 ply probably a little more. hope you didnt order the straps yet and get em too short

so i should get 14" if i need 15" not 13" then.

well first, do you have mounting points already set? if not, if perhaps you dont get the "perfect size" u can just change the mount points. im running dual tripple wrap 15'' on the front of my explorer, not that that means much.
