longer shocks?

i have a 2'' suspension and im going to put a 3'' body lift on my 2001. my question is: will i need to get longer shocks? i have to replace the shocks that are on there anyways so if i do, i'll just get the longer ones now. thanks.

Just to be safe, I would. You could go with shocks that fit a 2-3in. lift. I'm doin a TT and shackles, thats just about 2in, I need shocks as well there the factory shocks and the truck has 138k miles on it lol So I'm gonna get shocks that require a lift as well.

Longer Shocks

I would suggest longer shocks for the suspension lift...since your axle is now limited in down travel...if you do alot of highspeed offroad you'll kill the wrong sized shocks. (trust me!)
