LOL, I just want to make them. If I get the pure white like I am hoping, it will make those red painted parts shine like a baby's bottom. I am going to do this even though I have never tried anything like this before. I know I can do it, I just need to take my time and think real hard, it will all fall into place. And when I got a question to ask, you can bet I will be right here asking. I may have to start another thread though, LOL.
Oh, did yall see that one picture that someone took of a grey interior with some pure white lights? That was a classic picture, looked very professional.

I have tried my attempt at this and I failed missurabely! I can't seem to get it to work with the 3 lights I have. I have to 470 ohm restistors and 5mm lights and hooked it all up right and still no go.

Do you have the resistor on the longer lead of the LED? The longer lead is the positive lead. If you cut them and can't tell by the length of lead, there is a flat spot on the LED right close to where the leads come out. The lead closest to the flat spot is the negative lead. Also did you reverse the polarity? Because if you hook it wrong it could burn up the LED.

I can't figure out what I did wrong this is how I did it just to see if I knew what I was doing: led positive resistor led negative strung together so it goes -+ +- +-
l-----l

Great diagram! That should help everyone out and clear any confusion.

How in the world do you make it fit in the front dome light of a 93 x?? You need the plastic peice that is already there and the clear peice clips on to that so there is no room for the led fab thingy to fit.

I used 20 LED's in my dome light. I don't have map lights anymore. I took out that silver piece. There still isn't too much space, but there is enough to get your LED's in there. Glad you finally got yours working!

yeah DirtyDog saved my life with a diagram on how to wire it up. I didn't think that the silver plate comes out. Do you have to take the headliner out to get that out?

No you don't have to. It has flaps that just slide in.

how did you get power to them, did you cut the stock wires and then soldered them? Post pics if you have them

I only cut the door wires. The other places had no wires. I don't have any pics, but it's not like it's hard to do.

(Supplyvoltage - LED-voltage)/LED-current = Resistor

just plug your values into that, ohms law for dummies

hey husky, when you purchased the LED's off ebay, you got the resistors from the same seller, or did you buy the resistors from a different person. i just bought some LED;s off the same seller you did, and the description said i would also get the resistors for the 12V application.....so am i goin to get the resistors along with the LED's? thanks!

I bought them from another seller. I believe they were 470 ohm. They were under $2.00 shipped for 100.

hey husky, how long did it take to get the LED's from the time you ordered them?

I ordered from the same person three times and it only took 4-5 business days each time and I live in Canada.
