Welcome to the forum :) A good lift kit isn't cheap Dead Link Removed

yea i know but im totally redoing this explorer from paint to a lift then tires and wheels then some engine mods so i dont have that much money to spend on a lift what if i i get the ranger rough country lift and flip the leaves to the top of the axle

You could do the rough country in the front but then you will probably need the coil spacers to add to the front also to level it out with the rear since rough country is only 4"

Body lift shackles and 2" springs. $300 or so if you dig for the deals. + alignment.

Dig through the search and the stickies. Enough info to keep you in your computer chair for a couple days at least.

depends on what your plans r for the x,

rock crawler mudder trail runner?

i would really like to run some trails but for the most part mud

If your lookin to make it a mud bogger, you should upgrade the front axle to a stronger a solid axle.

At the very least use the D44 knuckles.
But really, you need to go SAS. If your mud is anything like the mud we have, you will want more lift so you can fit 37s or bigger. The mud we have around here goes deep, and guys with huge rigs dig ruts that will sink a 33 completely.

well guys this is what im doing first im buying the rough country ranger lift moving the leaf springs to the top of the axle and im just going to use 1 of the 2'' lift blocks and throwing 32's under it bc i want to make it a dd too

For a DD, I recommend 4.10 gears on 32. I'm running 32 on 4.56 and it's a little too deep for DD. Just a little mind you. But I got them for the 33s that come later. $.02

Dude I would love to buy your 4'' inch how much and what does it come with.

Never mind i would need the parts for the rear

i can weld, but i dont really want to weld on the axle

could any one tell me i i could just spend the 440 bucks on the rough country ranger lift and mount the perches on the top of the axle and use 1 of the 2'' lift blocks to get a 4'' lift in the back

how wont it, it might give me 2.5''

Okay lets back up.. You want to use a 4" suspension lift plus a SOA in the rear? If so the front will not match the rear. Without adding anything you'll have 4" in the front and 5.5-6" in the rear.

SOA gives you 5.5-6 like Blee said. If you ad a 2" block that will get you 7.5-8" of lift...

You could just get a body lift and 2" springs and an alignment like tweaked said if all you want 32s. Cheap and easy.
