Loss of power and low RPMs

Hey guys i woke up this morning and my truck was def not running right but i was tired and didnt really think of it untill i left work...same thing..i def noticed a loss of power and when i stopped at signs and lights the RPMs drop very quickly to about 500...The engine doesnt sound any diffrent but there def something..i was thinking air somehow...Also about 1 month ago my "check engine" light came on so i went to my neighboors shop where i bought the truck and he hooked it up to the comp and im pretty sure he said i needed an O2 sensor or something and that hed do it soon...could it have went partially and now it totally went bad?..i have no history with these so i kno nothing about them..and help or problems like this u have gone through would be great

Try cleaning the IAC. Which engine do you have? If the SOHC 4.0, did you have the OOM12 and 01M01 recall work done?
