Ok. I've read through about 6 pages and lots of good info. However, I've seen lots of posts about jumping the low pressure switch - where the heck is it? I see a connector right near the back of the compressor with 4 connectors(2 wires), and then another switch over on the passenger side near the big round tube.

Oh.. it's on my '98 SOHC. No air, and the compressor isn't kicking on.

My thought was to jump the low side and if it blows hot, I'll add freon and replace the switch. If it blows cold, I'll just replace the switch.

Thanks for any input.

Ok. Thanks. I'll check it tomorrow.

Ok - jumped the switch and the compressor kicked on but the air was hot. So, I guess the switch may not be bad, it may just be low on charge? I'll pick up a couple cans tomorrow and see if that helps.

Any of the autoparts brands better than others? Or are they pretty much the same?
