I'm not sure which thread to post this to but i'm going to post this in two or three....

Sadly, I have flipped my Explorer.
So no more X fun for Miguel....until I get another one.
Hopefully next month, i'll be able to purchase one depending on how gracious the insurance company wants to be. Here are some pics....

Now on to the question:
How does one drop an Explorer 5'' in the rear, and 4'' in the front?

Sadly, it belongs in "Whoops" and I will move it there. Please don't post in other forums also.

That is a SAD sight to see!!:( I hope everyone involved is okay!!

Ouch....

Everybody came out ok though I hope....right?

Man that really sucks...

Howd it happen?

slightly went off the rode, inside of tire snagged the edge of the highway, came on highway, did 360......went into ditch.......rolled......
You can see me on the rode talking to emt person. I'm in the white shirt and black pants.
BUT THE QUESTION IS:::

HOW DO I LOWER THE EXPLORER 5'' in rear and 4'' in front? What forum should i post this question in?

Is there any way you can salvage anything off of it. i.e. wheels, grille inserts, altezzas....?

sorry to see that happen...but by the way , where did you get that grill... i like it..,,,good luck with the insurance company

I agree sad sight. You might have a problem with your insurance company because those are not your stock wheels and tires. They look like 17's or 18's in my view. Anything that does not come stock insurance companys like to hassel about

Is there a connection between you rolling over and wanting to lower your truck next time around?

Hell yeah.....not just that, i want the lowered look too. This guy came to the shop yesterday with a lowered 95, and brandywine candy paint, and leather bucket seats in the back.......it was niiiiiiiiiiicce!!! He said it was a custom lowering job, they did it like they were going for an air bag set up.....i don't really know how it was done, but it was a nice ride.......say boominXplorer, how did you drop your X 3 inches??? They were 20's by the way, and i already took them off and put the stocks back on before i called the insurance company.

The grille was a billet i got off of ebay along with the bumper insert, I put a Puerto Rico badge on it with the flag.......

Migga,

Where did you flip your truck?
And very glad to see no one was hurt.

The reason I ask is, you are about 30 minuets from me, plus the guy I got my Navajo from works at the Harley Dealership there in Harker Hieghts.

Traffic was crazy on I-35 this weekend, IT WAS PACKED!

On HWY195....it comes from austin, goes through Florence, and into Killeen......I flipped it about 5 minutes outside of Florence.......

Took out the tortion bar bolts and 3 inch blocks in the rear. Many people dont get much drop when they take out their tortion bar bolt but i guess im just lucky because i am sitting on stop bumpstops

How can you stand the ride quality?

I got some energy suspention hollow bump stops. They REALLY helped compared to stock. The ride quality its really rough but it does get bumpy some times

So IS it rough or not? I'm really looking into experimenting and researching this "flip and switch" spindle drop method.....i wonder if a machine shop could custom make me some drop spindles.......
