¿Is this gonna work on my 2000 4.0 SOHC. I have the MAF that is mounted exactly the same. I guess I just need a step by step on how or have it explained to me again.
the hood cut through? lol soon very soon...i will be cutting the hood just as soon as i get some nice weather and a day off to do the fiberglass work. the hood scoops you see are currently "non functional" but they will be very soon.
If you want step by step thats easy...go to lowes get a dual lightswitch plate..your choice of colors. you will need a dremel tool or something similar to cut a hole and use a drill to make holes for mounting the MAF. the bolts i used were 1/4x28mm fine thread got em at adv auto parts. the flat bushing was trimmed down and glued to the lightswitch plate, i used 2 ton epoxy to glue it. i think i cut about an inch off of either side of the flat bushing(PVC) to make it all ft right. i wrapped the air filters rubber around the bushing and hose clamped it. the lowes stuff was cheap and i know it lasted 3 years on a ford ranger before i sold it. it was still holding when i sold it too. i painted it black so as to hide the flat PVC bushing.
I hate to be the "GUY" that brings back old topics but i have been readin through all of these and none of them have said a word about what happens to the old vaccume hoses on the old box??? i have 2 hoses that connect to the old box that are tiny but they must be there 4 a reason what should happen with them??? thanks for the responces ahead of time.
