Hi Everyone,
I’m reaching out to the community for guidance on identifying the correct manual transfer case, linkage, and shifter that would have come factory-installed on my 1992 Ford Explorer.
Here’s some background on my vehicle:
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
I’m reaching out to the community for guidance on identifying the correct manual transfer case, linkage, and shifter that would have come factory-installed on my 1992 Ford Explorer.
Here’s some background on my vehicle:
- VIN: 1FMDU34X8NUD81011
- Manufacture Date: 07/1992
- Current Transmission: Manual
- Current Transfer Case: Unverified – trying to identify the exact model. But it is the Electronic Push Button
Specific Questions:
- Transfer Case: What is the correct factory manual transfer case for a 1992 Ford Explorer with a manual transmission? Is it indeed the BW1354, or could there be another option?
- Linkage and Shifter: What factory linkage and shifter should be used to properly connect a manual transfer case?
- Cross-Compatibility: If parts are missing or damaged, are there compatible replacements from other Ford models (e.g., Ranger, Bronco II)?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
