a 91 with what I assume a stock manual transfer case showed up at a local yard. Am going to pull other parts for my 2wd, wondering if the case is something that someone might want rescued. I have never seen one in junk yards before. Also got a momo/fauxmo. Image below supplied by yard.

They’ve got value. They aren’t extremely rare, but someone will scoop that up from the yard pretty fast.

That twin shifter boot and the shifter linkage for tcase is the real money

iirc @Blue m&m is intersted in one

Yes, def pull it! Like boomin said, get the boot and the linkage, especially the BIG bolt on the linkage (you’ll see), and get the floor plate.

I used to sell these for $300 a manual 1354 with linkage and the boot

Now I sell them for $800+ because they are getting rare and that is how much it’s going to cost to get me to part with one

I grab every single one I see

Was able to pull the linkage, boots, plate , shifter today. Didn't anticipate needing an 8mm 12pt to disconnect the front shaft. Will return to pull the case tomorrow.

woot! another win for the group!!!!!

Oh man I hate it when you have to leave it over night like that hopefully nobody else snags it up!

Was able to get it.
The explorers that show up at that yard seem to stick around for a while without being harvested for some reason. I had to go back twice to pull a lift kit from the same yard couple months ago. First thing to get picked is always a good air intake tube, regardless of location.

I just might be willing to part with a like new air intake tube for a manual transfer case :).

Seriously though, are you planning on holding onto or is it something you might sell?
