Matt's '92/'99 4X4 V8/4R70W swap!

ah excelent. Thank you.

So I'll shoot for a 97 maybe a 98. Hopefully I can plug my speedo sensor right in with no problems. :knockonwood:

No news from the machinist yet. He's strangely busy at the moment. Block and heads have been decked.

He's goin to bore .030 over.

Dare I ask what happened here? Specifically to the hard drive my room mate needs to play Fable 2? lol

on the xbox, it had the red ring of death I took apart and attempted to fix managed to get it working twice. But when I'd pic it up or move it it the ring was back so I gave up.

I bought a halo 3 edition xbox off of craigslist. I'm goin to attempt a friends xbox with the red ring.

As for the update, nothin to say. Haven't bought anything still waiting on the machinist. Only news to do with the truck, besides the ever present super-kickassedness, is that my home wired, heavy duty headlight harness is going out. I ordered a fulll harness of the entrenets and am awaiting it's arrival.

Oh and I bought a fuel filter. I've never replaced this one.

If I can I'll talk to the machinist tomorrow, I'm covering another guys shift at work so I'm all outa Wack.

And I'm playing fallout and waiting on gears of war 2. Which is takin up my not at work time.

Sorry things are moving slow as molassess.

Ok finally some info for you guys.

Block and heads are done. He had the crank on the turner when I was there. Ready to polish the journals.

I can pick it all up tomorrow after I vote.

Thing looks bran spankin new and ready for some enamle.

What do you guys think, standard or high volume oil pump?

He polished thcrank journals, so I imagine there is some extra play in them from STD.

My vote is to go with the high volume pump while you have it apart. That way you won't second guess or wish you would've gone that route later on.

And I'm playing fallout and waiting on gears of war 2. Which is takin up my not at work time.

you ain't kidding. my room mates friend all ready has it.

it's BEAUTIFUL in hd.

what fallout? I'm gettin addicted to that game.

I think your right about the pump. It can't hurt if the flow is excessive. Cause the relieve valve will keep pressure the same anyway. Not to mention better oiling at idle.

What about bearings? I not to many options for the '99's. And I don't know if the mustang's are the same.

I was Lookin at the clevite P series. Cause the H series seems to be more for short term drag use than long term driver.

They were using words like "high crush factor" and "medium eccentricity"

Nah, talking about being obsessed with Fable 2 until Friday.

My room mates friend I was telling you about.. has Gears of War 2. That's what's beautiful.

How'd he get ahold of that.

It doesn't come out till Friday.

Well, there are 5 people right now playing it on my friends list.

He works at Blockbuster, and is pretty high up on the totem poll. Seeing as how the managers are out of town for meetings and conferences, and he's running the store... has it's perks.

Pphhh

I tell yah. Fords best decision was painting this thing metalic forest green.

Ditto, avoid a high volume oil pump as much as possible. Everything is designed for the normal pump, things change with the HV, and not for the good. Those are for high rpm drag racing etc, almost never good for street use.

Even with the larger bearing clearances?

I've read even .001 can reduce pressure by 20%
