Michelin Pilot LTX or LTX M/S

I am still looking for the best tire to
replace the OEM firestone tires.

I am considering the Michelin Pilot LTX
265/70/R16

or the

Michelin LTX M/S 275/70/R16

I usually drive on-road...just weekends go
to the beach or to the ranch.

Some friends of mine recommend me the
BF Goodrich All Terrain KO 275/70/R16

But I don´t know how is the behavior of
the BF on road.

I want the best tire...my rim is 16x7

Any recommendation?

Thanks

Michelin is good. Quite, good traction on road,
But...... Based on my previous experience, I replaced my stock tire (Firestone) 235, 75, 15R to a Perilli AT Scorpion size 255, 70, 15R (wider and lower) then I had a problem. Vibrations at 65 mph was terrible. Rebalanced 2 times with big weights on four tires. I came back and the tire shop replaced the 4 tires with Michelin LTX M/S with the stock size then everything is back to normal. I don't know if this will help, but be warned.

Thanks Tino,

My OEM Tires are 255/70/R16 That´s why I´m
considering the 275/70/R16 I just gain less
than 1 inch high.

I consider the Scorpion Zero tire and the
Scorpion S/T but they are very expensive in
Mexico.

Tomorrow, i will test the Michelin LTX M/S
275/70R16...

I just put the Michelin LTX M/S tires on the factory rims - 235/75 15R. The Discount Tires rep said that there have been complaints from other Explorer owners about vibrations from various tire manufacturers and that they recommended the Michelins. I now have 5,000 miles on them and they handle great, ride smooth, quiet, and no vibrations. Definitely, an excellent buy. They talked me out of the BFG K/O's, too.
